About Us
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, our founding vision that every young person should have the opportunity to be the best they can be, is now more pertinent than ever.
The Jon Egging Trust
Founded in 2011 by Dr Emma Egging following the tragic death of her husband, Red Arrows pilot Flt Lt Jon Egging, the Jon Egging Trust (JET) supports under-confident and vulnerable young people to get back on track and realise their potential.
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, we developed JET Inspired in response to the growing needs of young people left behind by the pandemic. The aim of the hub is to expand our reach beyond our face-to-face delivery, to allow the cornerstones of our vital and life-changing programmes to be accessed remotely by teachers and youth leaders across the UK.
Dare to believe
We are an early intervention charity, stepping in to support young people who lack confidence and self-belief, or are underachieving due to disadvantage or inequality. Many of the young people we support are considered to be at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training) when they embark on their JET journey.
As a registered charity, we couldn't do what we do without our own support system in place. From our fantastic corporate and military partners to our wider JET family of fundraisers and inspiring volunteers, a dedicated network of people go above and beyond for our young people every day:
Inspiring the future
From working with 10 young people on our first programme in Lincolnshire in 2012, JET has now supported more than 30,000 young lives through our unique motivational, inspirational and confidence-building programmes, which we deliver in partnership with schools and youth organisations across the UK.
